Notes:
Rare. Soon after beginning the celebration for his decennalia, or tenth year of power, Commodus faced a revolt by Perennis, his praetorian prefect, who intended to replace the emperor with his son. Though Commodus quelled the uprising, it did require him to pay a largesse to the army and is the event commemorated on the reverse types depicting him haranguing his troops.
